Stool Revamp

My grandmother had an old stool which wasn't being used, so I decided to revamp it. The idea was mine but all the work was done by my father-in-law Joaquim Rosado who is very handy with these things. I chose a purple color, one of my favorites, and the fabric got it from Loja do Gato Preto shop. I couldn't find fabric of this blue and my bedspread is petroleum blue. I think the work turned out really nice and gave life to an old piece of furniture with more than 50 years old. See for yourselves and tell me if it doesn't look great?

A minha avó tinha uma banqueta antiga a que já não dava uso, vai daí resolvi renová-la. A ideia foi minha mas o trabalho foi todo do meu sogro Joaquim Rosado que tem muito jeito para estas coisas. Escolhi tinta de cor arroxeada, uma das minhas cores preferidas, e o tecido fui buscá-lo a uma almofada da Loja do Gato Preto. Não encontrava tecido em azul petróleo e a colcha da minha cama é dessa cor. Ficou um trabalho muito giro e deu vida a uma peça que já tem mais de 50 anos. Ora vejam e digam lá se não ficou um primor?

Art with Beach Stones

Adoro a praia e tudo o que a envolve. Há uns anos quis trazer um pouco da praia para casa e apanhei umas pedrinhas numa das minhas praias preferidas, a praia da Ilha de Faro no Algarve, onde passei a minha infância de férias. O resultado foi este:

Envernizei as pedrinhas e colei-as com cola de colar cientistas ao tecto a uma sobra do papel de parede do meu quarto. Depois arranjei um passe-partout do mesmo tom em linho e foi só emoldurar. Há vários anos que esta obra de arte está aqui

I varnished the stones and glued it to my bedroom's wallpaper leftover. Then I got a linen passe-partout of the same shade and had it framed. For several years this masterpiece has been here

Gosto muito de papel de palhinha e usei também na minha sala como podem ver. Acho que dá textura e conforto a um espaço.


I love straw wallpaper and used it also on my living room as you can see. I think it gives texture and comfort to a room.
